According to Radio Poznań, three companies took part in the third tender. The cheapest offer was selected. The city will pay 6,000 zlotys for cleaning the monument. The other offers were for about PLN 20,000.
We have already informed about pouring red paint over the obelisk, wrapping it with foil in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, painting a gallows with the inscription Putin here, and also mounting metal plates with inscriptions such as “Eternal honor and glory to the heroes” – everything happened after Russia’s aggression on Ukraine.
The City Greenery Board previously announced two tenders for the cleaning of the obelisk. No offer was received in the first one, and the second had to be canceled because the circumstances had changed – in the meantime, metal plates were installed on the obelisk, so it was not just about cleaning the monument, but also repairing it.
