In recent years, Putin has often stayed at Bocharov Ruchey, a residence overlooking the Black Sea in Sochi. However, it was suddenly demolished by spies, and new satellite images obtained by the Project show that there is now a large crater in that place.

The report claims that Putin has been avoiding Sochi and the Krasnodar region since last year, when Ukrainian drones stopped attacks on Russian territory. “Ukrainian airstrikes damage various targets in Sochi and Gelendzhik region, forcing Putin to stop visiting these areas despite sophisticated air defense systems protecting his residences.”

The residence “Bocharov Ruchey” was demolished in February and March of this year. Although it was completely destroyed, the project report notes that many questions remain unanswered.
