(ANSA) – NAPLES, APRIL 06 – Luisa Mangiapia, the 50-year-old woman wounded in the thigh the day before yesterday in a raid on a play area in Naples also populated by children, feels like a miracle worker. “It was a beautiful day, I went to the square with my 11 year old daughter and a friend. The children were playing on the carousels, us mothers were nearby chatting. There was a group of scooters stopped a short distance from us. I noticed a scooter fall to the ground twice and I heard shouting let’s run away, let’s run away. I saw a boy with a helmet and then I heard the sound of a shot. Everyone was running away, but I remained still. I realized I was injured only after seeing the blood on my leg. At that point some friends intervened and stopped the blood with a scarf and tightened my leg with a belt to stop the bleeding. I was lucky. Someone in Heaven saved me, and I know who he is: my son Giuseppe who I lost four years ago in an accident.” These are some of her words reported by the press. The woman makes an appeal to the kids in the neighborhood: “Stop. Don’t just think about the money, but think about the pain you can cause your parents. So you kill yourselves, your families and ruin your lives. Whoever shot me I’m sorry, I know he didn’t mean to hit me, but he could have hit a child.” (HANDLE).
