The Prince Harry he would hold on to his wife Meghan Markle “like a man in need, like a lifeboat”. This was stated by the royal biographer Tom Bower. “The Duchess of Sussex meets all the requirements of the Duke of Sussex, which she has not obtained from other brides”explains the author of “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors”.
Tom Bower also said so Page six that Prince Harry “he is a damaged and very disturbed man” due to childhood trauma, and presumably Meghan Markle knew how to win him over. “He is psychologically damaged both by his mother’s death and by his father’s treatment of his mother and Harry himself when he was a child.”stated the author.
The difficult life of Prince Harry, and that of his royal relatives, has been highly publicized for years. The unhappy marriage of his mother, the Princess Dianadue to the long relationship of King Charles III with his current wife, the queen consort Camilla Parkerit has been well documented in the press and that would have hit Harry.
The tragic death of the former Princess of Wales in August 1997, when Harry was only 12, also attracted intense media attention. The Duke of Sussex previously spoke of the trauma surrounding his childhood, accusing his father of “passing on a cycle of genetic pain and suffering” on the podcast “Expert armchair” from Dax Shepard in 2021.
Meghan Markle has always claimed to know nothing about royalty when they went on a date, only asking if it was “cool”. However, in “Revenge”, Tom Bower mentioned that the actress “they thoroughly checked Harry before their first date at Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse in early July 2016”.
“Her genius was that before she met him, she researched him carefully and, as an intelligent woman with a lot of experience, she knew exactly which buttons to press.”, said the biographer. Tom Bower pointed out that Harry was unhappy as a royal and Meghan Markle offered him a way out.
