The district prosecutor’s office in Opole has initiated an investigation into the hit of a pregnant 25-year-old woman on the pedestrian lanes, informed Stanisław Bar, spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Opole. Despite the doctors’ intervention, the woman lost her child.

The incident took place in the morning of October 14 in Opole. A 25-year-old, in advanced pregnancy, who was passing through the pedestrian lanes, pushed a stroller with a baby in front of her. Then it was invaded by a passenger Fiat, driven by a 33-year-old. The woman managed to push the stroller away from her at the last minute when she was hit by a car.

In the sixth month of pregnancy, the wounded 25-year-old was transported to the hospital, where a caesarean section was performed. Unfortunately, the baby was dead. Currently, an accident investigation has been initiated said the Public Prosecutor Bar.

According to police findings, the Fiat driver was sober. He faces up to three years in prison for causing the accident.
