Former FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda coach Peter Hyballa is not experiencing the best period. Since last year’s departure from Žitný ostrov, he has already replaced 4 clubs, each lasting only a few months.
Slovak football fans know him as a coach whose self-confidence extends to the moon. When he packed his suitcases at the beginning of January 2020 and left the Danube-MOL Arena, he probably did not survive what awaited him in the following months, even in the worst nightmare.
One month after terminating the contract with DAC, he signed up for the Dutch club NAC Breda. However, he only led the team in seven games and left the club after five months due to a conflict with technical director Tom van den Abbeel.
He was then out of work from July to December when an offer came from Wisła, Poland, Poland. However, he remained in the current club of the Slovak coach Adrián Guľa only until May 2021. The premature departure of Petr Hyball was preceded by a conflict with club legends Kazimierz Kmiecik and Jakub Blaszczykowski. The results were also disappointing.
However, in 10 days the German coach was already sitting on the bench of the Danish Esbjerg fB, with whom he signed a two-year contract. Less than two months later, however, allegations of Peter Hyball’s humiliation of players appeared in the local media, asking the club’s management to leave immediately. While the coach described his behavior as an effort to motivate the team, the footballers themselves did not perceive it that way. After a bad start to the season, Peter Hyballa resigned himself after three matches.
When he was subsequently introduced at the end of September by the German third league club Türkgücü Munich as the new coach, the executive director Max Kothny said: “We believe he is the right man tactically and mentally to achieve our ambitious goals.”
However, the spell lasted only two months. On Tuesday, the club confirmed that it had released Petr Hyball from the position of coach with immediate effect. The reason for the decision was the poor performance of the team. Under his leadership, the Munich people played seven leagues and one cup match. He recorded two victories and six losses. As a result, the team dropped from 10th to 16th place in the table during his tenure.
