Andy Murray, a five-time runner-up at the Australian Open, ruled out his participation in the first Grand tournament Slam of the year by noting that it could not meet a feasible quarantine that allows it to compete in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Briton announced his withdrawal from the Australian Open just over a week after reporting that he tested positive for covid-19 while preparing to board a chartered flight to Melbourne.
