The winners of the mixed teams of male and female gymnasts were determined at the 15th European TeamGym Championships held for the first time in Baku. IS reports that 6 groups tested their strength on the “TeamGym” carpet, an acrobatic track and a trampoline (mini trampoline).
According to the sum of the three programs, the Danish national team, after collecting 55,700 points, climbed to the top of the podium. The British team won the silver with 55,100 points, while the Swedish team won bronze with 49,450 points.
Teams Norway (52,100), Iceland (49,850) and Italy (48,800) took fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively.
Then the award ceremony of the winners took place. Medals and prizes were awarded to the first three place teams at the event held at the National Gymnastics Arena.
Earlier, the winners of the female gymnast teams were announced. Iceland (53,850) was the first, Sweden (53,400) was the second, and Norway (49,450) was the third.
Also today, the men’s teams play in the final stage.
It should be noted that the competition will be concluded today with the participation of 498 athletes from 14 countries, 268 of them adults and 230 youths.
