In a shocking incident, a concert in Paris turned into a funeral, as famed Haitian singer Michael Benjamin, known as Micpen, 41, was killed on stage in front of around ten thousand spectators.
According to some of the images circulated on social media, fatigue had appeared on Mikabban before the party started. When he took the stage, he got sick and the doctors couldn’t save him.
The artist, a former member of the Haitian band Karemi, who retired six years ago and made his way alone, had received from this group an invitation to sing together in the “Accor Arena”, but instead of the artistic path they meet companions at a concert, fate decided that this event would be the end of the journey for the artist, Mikaben, on Saturday.
The networking sites were also full of scenes showing the last moments in the life of artist Michael Benjamin before he died at the start of his fourth decade of life.

In turn, Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry expressed, through a tweet on “Twitter”, “his shock after hearing the news of the death of a young and creative artist who was a big name in the world of Haitian music”.
McCabine had tweeted on the same day he died and, shortly before the concert, had written: “Good luck Kareemie.”
He also posted a video from the concert hall, saying, “I’m at the Aqua Arena in Paris, today is a great day and it will be a wonderful day”, but didn’t know that the end of the concert would be sad and upsetting for everyone.
