Paris Percy Hall in the French capital witnessed an unfortunate incident when Haitian singer Michael Benjamin died on stage while performing in front of 10,000 spectators.
Activists on communication sites circulated a video recording of the singer, as he passed out, amidst the shock of the band members and the loud voices of the masses, where he breathed his last.

According to media reports, Benjamin was clearly showing signs of fatigue before the concert began, becoming ill during the show, while the ambulance crew was unable to save his life, as he died at the age of 41.
Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry expressed his shock upon hearing the news of the death and tweeted: “The death of a young creative artist who was a big name in the world of Haitian music”, stating that the country and young people had lost his good humor and expressed his condolences to the singer’s family, friends and artistic community.

The singer’s last tweet dates back to a few hours before the concert, wishing “good luck to my older brothers tonight”, in reference to the band (Karim). He thanked those who paved the way for him and said: “Haiti loves you very much, so love and light accompany you to tonight’s party.”

Michaël BENJAMIN died of a malaise after his performance this Saturday with the group #CARME at the Accor Arena. The Haitian musical world is in mourning. Several personalities have already welcomed the departure of this great Haitian music including the former PM #ClaudeJoseph.
