A 24-year-old man was brought to the Vienna public prosecutor’s office on Friday April 17 for two burglary attempts perpetrated on the same night, to the detriment of the same business.
The facts took place on the night of April 15 to 16, in the city center of La Côte-Saint-André. Shortly before 3 o’clock in the morning, an individual, his head hooded, tried to force the door of the “Or Net” store, specializing in the purchase and sale of gold on rue de la République, using a tool. Not achieving his goals, he leaves the premises before returning shortly after 4 am. This time, he goes after the window of the shop. Without much success.
Alerted, the gendarmes of the Vienne company carried out the first investigations and established that the individual left the scene aboard a Dacia Sandero, which was found on fire a few minutes later. A car he had just stolen. But in his flight at the wheel, hitting a wall, he preferred to set it on fire and disappear on foot into the night.
On parole for only a few weeks
The gendarmes of the community of brigades of Beaurepaire / La Côte-Saint-André, leading the investigation, had to quickly identify the author, who was arrested at his mother’s home in the evening.
Placed in police custody, Jordan Heitore, on parole for only a few weeks, was referred to the prosecution and tried in stride under the regime of immediate appearance. His record of 21 convictions did not plead in his favor: he was sentenced to 8 months in prison. The court also revoked 4 months of a previous reprieve. A sentence that he began to serve immediately, a warrant of committal having been issued at the bar.
