NOGALES, SON.- A shipment valued at more than $ 230,000 was secured by US federal agents at one of the border crossing points in Nogales, Arizona, Customs and Border Protection (CBP, for its acronym in English) confirmed.
The port director, Michael W. Humphries, reported that the migratory elements seized 8.3 kilograms or its equivalent to 18.45 pounds of Fentanyl pills.
The drug in several packages was transported inside a Differential of the vehicle used for the crossing, of which no further details were disclosed, nor of the detained person who was driving the unit.
In total they were more than 70 thousand drug pills those that were counted in the packages, a shipment with the value already described, once dosed for sale on the streets of the United States.
On the other hand, the federal official also confirmed during this week, the arrest in one of the sentry boxes of two men who were wanted, for their participation in a homicide in January this year, in the city of Phoenix, Arizona.
No further details were released about the arrest of these people, or their identity.
