Soviet actor Oleg Efremov, who died in 2000, could commit suicide. This became known from a letter from his mistress, actress Nina Doroshina, which was published on December 3 on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1”.
The published letter was addressed to Doroshina’s friend Vera Karpova.
“Karpova, dear, finally gathered up the strength to write. I had no idea what my condition would be when this man was gone. On May 24, he was gone, he committed suicide. On the 31st he was buried. I still as long as in a dream. Everything in me has died, the perception of the environment has slowed down, “the letter says.
Another friend of Doroshina, Ksenia Lemesheva, explained on the air that Doroshina often called up the actor when he was already on an artificial respiration apparatus. The man allegedly complained to her that he was tired of all this, and therefore the actress concluded that he turned off the device himself, thus committing suicide.
At the same time, the actor’s illegitimate daughter, 63-year-old Anastasia Efremova, said that what was written in the letter was not true: “Well, what suicide? He died in his sleep.”
