In a new video, Maglio Cicardini Neyra tried to satirically criticize the current situation in his city with a parody of the film ‘Back to the Future 3’.
Cicardini Neyra Hammera candidate to once again occupy the Mayor’s Office of Copiapó, capital of the Chilean region of Atacama, has gone viral on social media, due to the funny way in which he presents his campaign proposals.
On July 23, Cicardini Neyra, who served as mayor of Copiapó between 2008 and 2016, registered his candidacy before the Chilean Electoral Service as an independent candidate for the elections next October.
The former mayor has published videos a TikTok, in which he satirically criticizes the state of the city’s roads, as well as the security conditions faced by the population.
In a recent recording, he parodied a scene from the American film ‘Back to the Future 3’. “Spoiler! I met the mayor of the future and he told me that we are on the right track. Copiapó, get ready for the urban train,” reads the post, accompanied by a video in which the politician is seen going back in time, aboard a time machine in the form of a steam train, in order to explain his version of the alleged mistakes made by the current mayor, Marcos López. He also comments that he managed to resolve López’s failures when he took office. At the end of the recording, the train flies away and the legend that says “Maglio to the Mayor’s Office” appears, designed in a similar way to the logo of the aforementioned film.
So far, the recording has achieved more than 113,000 views.
