A 38-year-old man was found dead drunk, collapsed on his steering wheel after crashing into two stopped vehicles in Saint-Jean-d’Angély. He had 4.48 grams of alcohol in his blood. A level, between 4 and 5 grams of alcohol in the blood, which doctors generally consider to be fatal. The man could have consumed about twenty glasses of alcohol.
The gendarmes who found him behind the wheel of his car on September 13, first believed that he was dead, the victim of a heart attack. But they found a bottle of whiskey at his feet and soon realized he was drunk. They also had a lot of difficulty blowing it into the breathalyzer, as the post they published this Sunday on their Facebook page tells.
