(ANSA) – PAVIA, 26 AUG – He couldn’t accept the idea of having to end his relationship with his ex. For this reason, today, after a chase involving a rear-end collision and threats with a knife, a 20-year-old from Vigevano (Pavia) was arrested by the Carabinieri. The young man noticed his ex-partner passing by in a car on a street in the Lomellina city. Her two young children were with her. At that point, the 20-year-old got into his car and chased his ex. He first hit the car driven by the woman, then he repeatedly rear-ended her, almost as if he were on a bumper car track. A high-risk chase, which also took place in broad daylight with other cars circulating in the area. The ex-partner, terrified by the boy’s aggressive behavior and worried about her children, preferred to desist from attempting to escape, stopping on the side of the road. Her ex-boyfriend got out of his car like a fury, armed with a switchblade and lunged at the woman. A brief fight ensued, at the end of which the woman, fortunately, was not injured. Indeed, showing considerable composure, she managed to disarm him, taking the weapon away from him. Immediately afterwards, with great promptness, she slipped into the passenger compartment of her car, taking refuge with her two children, who witnessed the scene. Once she was safe with her children, she called the police asking for help. Her ex-boyfriend thought it best to run away on foot, but the police reached the boy in his home and arrested him. The 20-year-old was held in the security cell of the Vigevano barracks, awaiting a summary trial. The knife used in the attack was seized. The police are continuing their investigations to reconstruct the episode and verify whether the boy had already threatened his ex-boyfriend in the previous days. Once the fright had passed, the woman and her two children returned home. (ANSA).
