A more than profitable flight. A man who had just bought 300 iPhones in an Apple store in the heart of New York (United States) was attacked on Monday night.
The victim went to the Fifth Avenue store around 1:45 a.m. local time and purchased several hundred iPhones there, which he then intended to resell. But when he walked out with his three bags, each containing a hundred Apple-brand smartphones, the 27-year-old man was spotted by thieves, Phonandroid reports.
125 iPhones stolen
As the man was walking to his car parked nearby, another vehicle pulled up alongside him. Two menacing men came out and attacked him. They managed to steal one of the bags, which contained 125 iPhones. The victim managed to keep the other two bags.
Specializing in the resale of iPhones, the young man used to go shopping in the evening or early in the morning to feel comfortable. Fortunately, he wasn’t injured in the attack. An investigation has been opened to try to find the thieves, who may be suspected of having first identified and monitored the victim before taking action.
