He broke a window and had to give 200 kilos of food to an animal protection NGO
On Wednesday morning, the Animal Protection Association (APAM) received a donation of 200 kilos of pet food, as part of legal compensation for damages. The delivery was made by Juan Pablo Santos, the official of the prosecutor’s office in charge of the case, at the NGO building located in Parque Pesquero S/N, on Lucia Smorzeñuk Street.
The court case started after a man broke the window of a medicine shop and a pet. Although the insurance covered the cost of the glass, as part of the legal settlement, the person responsible had to buy pet food for the value of the window repair and give it to APAM.
APAM, founded on September 29, 1996, is an NGO that shelters and cares for more than 20 animals in situations of abandonment or abuse. Their work is very dependent on the cooperation of the community. For those who want to learn more about how to support their work, the organization can be contacted through their social networks.
