A man broke into the Edouard Herriot hospital in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon on Thursday June 16 to steal the phone of a patient in the burns department.
It is 8:50 p.m. Thursday, June 16 when a 54-year-old man enters the burns department at the Edouard Herriot hospital, in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon. Once in the health establishment, the 50-year-old returned to the room of a particularly vulnerable patient, covered with several bandages and awaiting a skin graft.
Faced with the victim who could do nothing, the alleged suspect stole the patient’s phone before returning to his semi-freedom center, rue Pierre Sémard, in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon.
A complaint lodged
The victim’s parents filed a complaint and an investigation was entrusted to the Rhône police. The location of the phone made it possible to find the device and its alleged thief. The man, unfavorably known to the police, was arrested and placed in police custody.
The man is tried in immediate appearance Monday, June 20 at the Lyon prosecutor’s office.
