Al-Nasr Saudi Football Club confirmed the signing of a contract with Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday.
The club posted a photo of the player wearing the national team shirt in his name on Twitter.

The club added, on its Twitter account, “The president of the club, Musali Al Muammar, has just signed a contract with the football star Cristiano Ronaldo. The contract will extend until 2025”, accompanied by a photo of Ronaldo with in hand the club’s number seven shirt.
“The contract signing ceremony took place in the Spanish capital, Madrid,” he said, without disclosing the financial value of the deal.
Al-Muammar, president of the Al-Nasr Club, said: “This agreement is much more than writing a new historical chapter. This player is a great example for all athletes and young people around the world.”
He added, “With his presence in Al-Nassr, we will move forward towards achieving more successes for the club, Saudi sport and for future generations.”
On the other hand, Ronaldo, 37, said in statements broadcast by the club’s account via Twitter: “I am eager to experience a new football league in a different country.”
The player underlined: “The vision Al-Nasr Club operates with is very inspiring and I am excited to join my teammates so that together we can help the team achieve more success.”
And post the player’s official account via Instagram And the official account of the club via Facebook A post in which they said: “This story is being made now. This signing will not only propel our club to aspire to greater things, but will also give momentum to our role, our nation and future generations, boys and girls, to achieve their best ambitions. Welcome, Cristiano Ronaldo, to your new home at Al-Nasr Club.”
Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr is considered one of the most successful clubs and has won the first division title in the country nine times.
In August, the club announced the signing of Spanish defender Alvaro Gonzalez, on a free transfer, following the expiry of his contract with French Marseille, for one season, with an option to renew for another season.
The Qatar World Cup was disappointing for Ronaldo, nicknamed “The Don”, to all intents and purposes, even though he scored the opening goal for his Portuguese side against Ghana from a penalty kick, making him the first player in World Cup history to score a goal in five different versions, according to the AFP report.
Before the start of the current edition of the World Cup, Ronaldo confirmed that he wants to continue playing internationally until the 2024 European Cup.
