Two employees of the Hospices Civils de Lyon, parking attendants at Eastern hospitals, were arrested on Wednesday for suspected theft of cash from cash registers. Cash errors have been recurring since August 2020, which attracted the attention of the managers, who found damages of several thousand euros.
Two agents little known by the police
The Eastern Hospitals of the HCL then filed a complaint which led to the interrogation of the two agents, who were also unfavorably known by the forces of order.
These two men had access to parking terminals to reload parking tickets, which allowed them to open the door that gave access to the cash box, which one of them, 47, admitted to using. The other suspect, 31, denied the thefts. They were released with a November 2023 court summons.
