TRENČÍN – The hockey players of HC Slovan Bratislava won on the ice of HK Dukla Trenčín 4:3 in Sunday’s match of the 34th round of the Tipos extra league. They followed up the triumph over this opponent from their home ice and achieved their sixth victory in a row. At the same time, the Slavs jumped over their opponent in the table and moved to the current 9th place.
The team from Trenč took the lead in the 6th minute, when Škvarek scored the first goal of the season, whose shot surprised goalkeeper Godla. From the 9th minute, it was already 2:0 after a goal by Ahl, who benefited from a defensive error by the guests. Even before the first break, the Slovanists reduced the score to 2:1 after a precise strike from Lukošik from a sharp angle.
In the 23rd minute, Dukla was about to overpower, but Denis Hudec emphatically prevailed during the signaled penalty – 3:1. Despite the promising development, the home team did not gain a single point. In the final minute of the second part, the guests got into an outnumbering, which was finished by Ranford – 3:2.
It was even from the 52nd minute when Takač took advantage of the lack of emphasis in the opponent’s defense from close range. In contrast to the previous duel, the Slovanists managed to decide on the victory already in regular playing time. The guests first managed rough moments in front of their goalkeeper, then Pecararo returned from the penalty bench and Lukošik, after his shot, put the puck past the Trenčín goalkeeper – 4:3.
