On January 16, HBO’s The Last of Us series is headed for a mushroom-infested apocalypse, unless you become one of ten lucky winners in our The Last of Us contest. You can win tickets to an early premiere of the first episode there, so make sure you do delta.
The rest of us will have to wait until mobs premieres, and to make waiting easier (or harder), HBO has released a quick behind-the-scenes video. Pedro Pascal who plays Joel talks a bit about how his character was shaped by past life experiences, while Bella Ramsey as a familiar was prompted don’t play, but still watch some gameplay.
Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) co-wrote the series with Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and says you need to be smart about how you make changes when turning a game into a TV series. He says they tell “more of the action that happens in between,” so we can probably expect to know a little more about the world of The Last of Us than in the game.
