Warner Bros intends to expand the availability of its streaming platform in Europe and Latin America.
Already available in fifteen European countries, Netflix’s rival intends to expand into new markets in 2023 and 2024. The CEO of Warner Bros has confirmed the arrival of the service in many countries over the next two years. HBO Max will be offered in two formats with a classic subscription plan and a free, ad-sponsored plan.
The service positions itself as a competitor to Netflix and Prime Video, with a lineup of classics and exclusives. If, in Belgium, the series “House of the Dragon” will land on BeTV, it will be available exclusively on HBO Max in the United States. The platform is planning a rich catalog of exclusives for the next two years, with the highlighting of major franchises.
Currently, HBO Max is available in fifteen European countries. Mainly Eastern European countries, but also a handful of Western markets such as the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal or Norway.
