On the occasion of the 3rd day of Liqui Moly StarLigue, HBC Nantes traveled to Toulouse.
At the start of the game, Kauldi Odriozola was already attentive to the recovery while Viktor Hallgrimsson was on the parade (4′ 1-1). On the other side, Jef Lettens answered him (8′ 2-4). The Nantais had taken the lead, notably thanks to Théo Monar applied in attack and defense (11′ 3-7). The Toulouse took advantage of a purple exclusion to reduce the gap (14′ 6-8) but Thibaud Briet went on the counter and set the target (15′ 6-9). Lucas De La Bretèche came into play and took the interval left free by the Toulouse defense which had to do without Diallo, permanently excluded (19′ 7-10). The “H” missed a few opportunities to further widen the gap which stabilized at +4 (25′ 9-13). At the break, Nantes led 11-15.

Aymeric Minne and his teammates returned from the locker room (34′ 13-19). The Nantes team used the same ingredients as in the first period: a good Viktor Hallgrimsson, a united defense and well-rounded offensive phases (40′ 15-22). The Icelandic goalkeeper continued to weigh in the cage and Thibaud Briet maintained his lucidity, scoring 2 goals in 10 seconds (46′ 17-24). The Violets remained serious, played their game and scored the +10 goal (51′ 19-29). Ivan Pesic entered in his turn and stopped two 7 meters (57′ 22-32). Théo Avelange-Demouge stood out at the end of the match and Ernest Pineau scored his first goal with the pros.
HBC Nantes won 24-34 in Toulouse.
