– I was on top of the world and then I ruined everything, the actor says in an interview with People.
The Hollywood star further shares that she fought for years for addiction in addition to postpartum depression after her daughter was born.

At one point, her addiction to alcohol was so bad that she was hospitalized with jaundice. Here the doctors warned her that her liver was about to give up.
Panettiere claims that someone in her team offered her “happiness pills” before she went up the red carpet as a 15-year-old. Later she started drinking alcohol, and sometimes she used opioids. At the same time, his career was at its height.
While she was on various sets and recordings, she managed to stay sober, but as soon as she finished work, things got worse.
– Then things continued to spin out of control. And when I got older, drugs and alcohol were things I could hardly live without, she admits.

Over the past year, Panettiere has been through a tough time with, among other things, hospitalization and trauma therapy, and today she is sober and happy, according to herself.
– It has not been easy and there have been many ups and downs. But I do not even regret even the ugliest things that have happened to me. I feel incredibly in place. It feels like I’ve been given another chance, she tells People.
