Hayao Miyazaki and his incredible conversation with the head of Pixar that shows a compelling way of seeing cinema

Pixarthe animation film studio, is experiencing a great moment thanks to ‘Reverse 2′ and the enormous success it has managed to be in cinemas around the world. During an event for this film, Pete Docter, The company’s CEO spoke about a conversation he had with Hayao Miyazakidirector of Studio Ghibli and one of the greatest legends in the history of cinema.

A conversation in which they discussed the way Miyazaki approaches the making of his films, and in which his answer is priceless. Docter asked him: “When do you make changes for yourself and when for the public?” To which Hayao Miyazaki replied that “I never think about the audience.” A resounding response that only adds to the legend of a unique filmmaker who continues to surprise us with high-quality works such as the Oscar-winning ‘The Boy and the Heron.’ What’s next? His latest film seemed to be the project that would close his career, but we should never rule out a new comeback from someone who continues to give his all when it comes to cinema.
