Hawk Ops has been renamed » Vortex

Team Jade and TiMi Studio Group’s upcoming first-person action war Delta Force: Hawk Ops is getting a name change. The authors announced that the upcoming continuation of the famous series will now be known only under the abbreviated name Delta Force. It’s meant to be a title that bridges the gap between loyal brand veterans and brand newbies. It’s meant to help bring the community together and create an experience that honors Delta Force’s legacy while pushing the boundaries. I can’t say that this explanation sounds logical or convincing, maybe it would be enough to say that the authors simply want people to take the news as a full-fledged Delta Force.

In addition, the team thanked everyone who joined the alpha test. According to the developers, the game has 1.5 million wishlists on Steam, and the authors are pleased with the massive feedback they received from fans. It shows them, they say, that players are just as excited about the news as the studio itself. The players, together with the developers, will shape the future of the game.

It’s also been said that the writers can’t wait to reveal more in the coming months. If you’re heading to Gamescom, you should stop by their booth, where you’ll of course also be able to try out Delta Force.

It’s also worth noting that the game got a new trailer at Opening Night Live yesterday. It attracts early access, which will start at the end of this year. But it will be possible to try the latest build already in October during the Steam Next Fest.
