As of this Saturday, February 20 at 9:05 pm, M6 will broadcast the tenth and final season of Hawaii Five-0, a remake of Hawaii State Police broadcast in the 70s. It was last February that CBS announced its decision to put a end of the detective series after 10 seasons and 240 episodes.

True audience success both in the United States and internationally, it had already been two seasons that it was in danger of cancellation. Following a serious injury on the set of season 8, Alex O’Loughlin, who plays Steve McGarrett, had already expressed to the channel his desire to leave the series. The production had however managed to convince him to re-stack, but his contract ending at the end of season 10, the actor made the decision to quit for good. Although the channel considered for a while to continue without him, they preferred not to take any chances and eventually gave up on the idea, thus making season 10 ofHawaii Five-0 the last.

Before bidding farewell to the series, find out what awaits you in this final season.

A surprise departure

Jorge Garcia, who has been on the show since season 4 as Jerry Ortega bids farewell to the Five-0 team in the first episode of this season 10. In the penultimate scene, Jerry, who is just recovering from his injuries, realizes and announces to the team that he will not be returning to work with them. He has indeed decided to live his life differently and is considering writing a book. This will be the last time we will see the actor on screen.

A new recruit

Jerry’s departure signals the arrival of a new character played by Katrina Law, an actress known to have played Nyssa al Ghul in Arrow and Mira in Spartacus. While Steve and Danny are investigating, they have an explosive encounter with Quinn Liu, a military police sergeant who was recently demoted for insubordination. Very quickly, his efficiency will push Steve to offer him to join the Five-0 team for the next investigations.

A crossover with Magnum PI

After NCIS: Los Angeles and MacGyver, it’s Magnum’s turn to have its crossover with CBS’s flagship series. In the first part of this opus event, which starts in episode 12 of Hawaii Five-0, McGarrett will join forces with Thomas Magnum (Jay Hernández) and his partner, Higgins (Perdita Weeks), in order to track down a stolen list of the names of undercover CIA agents. In the second part, episode 12 of season 2, the Magnum team will have to do everything possible to free Junior (Beulah Koale), who has been kidnapped by dangerous criminals.

Unfortunately, Hawaii Five-0 being broadcast on M6, and episode 12 of season 2 of Magnum, in which this crossover, having already been broadcast on TF1 last August, you will not be able to watch these two episodes in succession.

Chuck Norris, guest of the last episode

Walker Texas Ranger star to return to the small screen at the finale of Hawaii Five-0. Chuck Norris will play the role of Lee Phillips, a retired sergeant major, who will help Lincoln Cole (Lance Gross) to hide from the authorities to protect his anonymity. This appearance in the series is a small event in itself since the actor, who had been rare in recent years, announced in 2017 to retire for health reasons. It was his son, Eric Norris, who works on the series as the stunt coordinator, who allowed the production to convince the actor to come along for a few scenes on the series.

Hawaii Five-0 is broadcast every Saturday evening from 9:05 p.m. on M6 with 2 episodes per week. If you don’t have the patience to wait, the full season is already available on Salto.
