A few weeks ago, “NCIS: Hawaii”, another offshoot of NCIS, was officially confirmed. So far, not much was known about the new spin-off, but the first three cast members have finally been announced: Vanessa Lachey (40), Jason Antoon (49) and Yasmin Al-Bustami will form part of the new team.

With the casting of Vanessa Lachey, “NCIS: Hawaii” made history as she becomes the first female team leader in the NCIS universe. The actress, who was born in the Philippines, actually became known as the presenter of the MTV series “Total Request Live”. She can also be seen regularly as a correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight”.
As an actress, the 40-year-old has appeared in series such as “Hawaii Five-0”, “How I Met Your Mother” and “American Housewife”. She has been married to the singer Nick Lachey since 2011. Soon we will see her as the head of the NCIS team, “Jane Tennant”, at Pearl Habor in Hawaii.

Jason Antoon is also part of the cast of the new NCIS offshoot. He will slip into the role of the cyber specialist “Ernie”. The 49-year-old has been seen in countless productions, including the film “Minority Report”.
He has also appeared in series such as “Sex and the City”, “Modern Family” and “Law & Order: SVU”. Jason Antoon has been married to his wife Seana for over ten years and they have two children together.

The third member of the “NCIS: Hawaii” team and also the youngest member is Yasmine Al-Bustami. “Deadline” describes her role as “Lucy” as “Eager to be the first to find the crucial piece of evidence, bypass the bureaucracy or push a suspect down a flight of stairs.” That could definitely be exciting.
Yasmin Al-Bustami will probably be known to most from the series “The Originals”. But you could already admire them in popular series such as “Nashville”, “SWAT” or “The Inspectors”. The actress was born in Abu Dhabi but moved to Texas when she was three.
Viewers in the USA can look forward to the “NCIS: Hawaii” debut as early as autumn. It is not yet known when the new spin-off will start in Germany.
