Having certification in India, will Nokia release a laptop?

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The licensee for the Nokia brand, HMD Global, is reportedly shifting to another segment, with plans to present a device with a wider screen, namely a new laptop or notebook or tablet series which is currently reported to have received certification from the Indian regulator Bureau. of Indian Standards (BIS).

Quoted from the Gizchina page, the BIS certificate actually lists nine models, namely NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL82S, NKi310UL85S, NKi310UL42S and NKi310UL41S.

From the list it appears that Nokia has a series of products to come. It is not known what each model name stands for, but rumor has it that HMD Global will expand its Nokia product portfolio.

HMD Global has also previously had success with smart TV and audio products, so it should come as no surprise that the company is looking to other market segments. Moreover, nowadays, many smartphone manufacturers are also jumping into other segments, such as wearables and IoT.

Meanwhile, HMD Global recently changed its plans to present a 5G smartphone. Nokia 9.3 PureView series is reportedly not going to be released this year.

The Nokia 9.3 PureView was originally expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chipset, but with the launch delay it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 875 which will be released next month, so that it will make the phone a flagship in 2021.
