FC Bayern Munich, News: FCB President Herbert Hainer raves about Vincent Kompany
Herbert Hainer, President of FC Bayern Munich, was extremely impressed with the new coach Vincent Kompany. Parts of his statements can certainly be understood as a small swipe at predecessor Thomas Tuchel.
Opposite BR24Sport said the 70-year-old: “We are incredibly happy with our coach Vincent Kompany. Starting with Max Eberl, through the board to Uli (Hoeneß) and Karl-Heinz (Rummenigge), because we see incredibly attractive football. We already have that I haven’t seen him at FC Bayern for years.”
Hainer is particularly enthusiastic about the team’s performance: “If you saw it on Sunday in Frankfurt, it was football with a level of dominance and control that you haven’t seen for a long time. Yes, unfortunately we didn’t win, but that will come .”
The president takes the last three competitive games without a win calmly: “I’m not afraid at all, because with the style of football we play, we will win the games. We could have won against both Aston Villa and Eintracht Frankfurt.”
Kompany brings “new impulses” to FC Bayern, which were also received positively by the team, said Hainer: “There is joy and fun during training. That’s how we imagined it and that’s what we wanted.”
