Have you ever seen this euro coin? It is worth a lot: PHOTOS

Since its official issue since 2002, theeuro has had a very important social and “mental” impact for European countries that have opted for currency exchange: the single European currency has in fact replaced most of the historical currencies of countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and many others, leading the population to get used to a whole series of dynamics that only over time have been almost completely “absorbed”.

From a collector’s point of view, the euro is a “young” currency, having existed for less than twenty years but which is already very interesting: being widespread in various countries, there are distinct versions for each coin, which are divided into 8 “denominations”. In fact, all coins have a “face” common to all user countries, but the other bears a different shape. Usually the commemorative coins of each nation are made in the 2 euro denomination.

2 euros in value

The rarest and most precious 2 euros are in fact part of this category, because the commemorative coins are minted in a very limited number compared to the rest of the circulating coin.

The most valuable euro coin

The most interesting is certainly the one developed in 2007 from Principality of Monaco which issued a series of 2 euro coins Grace Kelly, a real tribute to the twenty-fifth anniversary of the actress’s death, as well as the wife of Prince Ranieri, minted in only 10,001 copies, most of which sold for a sum that was between 2000 and 2500 euros. The coins are equipped with a classification as well as a case with a certificate as to testify the authenticity of the coin.

The value today is just 2500 euros, the “limited number” of copies produced will certainly contribute to making this coin even more rare and precious in the coming years.

This is very easy to recognize, as it presents the profile of the actress who died prematurely in a car accident.
