A teacher at United States of America has been arrested after allegedly locking up his son who tested positive COVID-19 in the trunk of the car. The woman reasoned that she did it to protect herself from exposure to the Corona virus when she was driving her car to the test site corona virus.
As reported BBC, Saturday (8/1/2022), local media reported that Sarah Beam (41) was charged with endangering a child.
Local media click2Houston.com reported that a witness called police after hearing someone in the trunk of a vehicle on January 3 at a location in Harris County, Texas.
The teacher then opened the trunk to show her son lying inside.
Beam says his 13-year-old son has tested positive COVID-19 and he took it to the Pridon Stadium site to be retested to confirm the results.
He said he put his son in the trunk of the car because he didn’t want to get infected corona virus.
Local police received reports that a child was in the trunk of a car at a drive-thru COVID-19 test site earlier this week.
“Law enforcement carried out a full investigation, resulting in an arrest warrant. Thankfully, the child was not injured,” local police said.
Sergeant Richard Standifer, of the Texas Department of Public Safety, told local TV station KHOU 11 that the boy could be seriously injured if the vehicle were to crash.
“I’ve never heard of anyone being put in the trunk because they tested positive for anything,” said Sergeant Standifer.
