The Minister of Education, Roberto Fulcarassured that the old educational model collapsed and that the best days of the dominican education they are starting.
At the beginning of the training workshop for teachers, within the framework of the UNESCO STEMthe official said that the “government of change” of President Luis Abinader has come to close gaps and provide equal opportunities.
“The best days of dominican education they are starting. Moments of brilliance, splendor and great satisfaction await us. I invite all teachers to put on a banner, as a sacred thing, the right of all our students to education, without interruptions, without complications and without distortions because it is a fundamental right”, Fulcar stressed.
He added that the exercise and materialization of change in education helps to lift communities out of poverty and to have successful generations that are capable of obtaining decent employment and inserting themselves into Dominican society.
According to Fulcar, there will never be a return to the old model before the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the activity, the Minister of Culture, Milagros Germán, through UNESCO, delivered to Education a hundred microscience kits and 2 3D printers, material with which it is intended to facilitate development in the fields of research, education and learning.
The workshop will train 55 technicians who will be the trainers of the teachers who will participate in the STEM program, which seeks to develop the following skills in students: research, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and communication and collaboration.
