- Vålerenga – Mjøndalen 4-1 (1-0)
Henrik Bjørdal scored twice in two minutes when Vålerenga inflicted Mjøndalen the sixth straight loss in the Eliteserien on Saturday. The match ended 4-1.
Bjørdal put in the rarely fast goals after half-played second half. Then Bård Finne also scored two goals and secured the victory for a Vålerenga who performed well below par before the break.
During the break, coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo gave the players a clear message about lifting.
– That speech was not exactly a wedding speech. I will admit that, the Vålerenga coach told TVNorge after the match.
– Even though it was not fantastic in the second half either, it was better, he continued.
Two-goal scorer Bjørdal confirmed the boss’s thunder speech.
– I have never seen him so angry in my time here, said the man with two lightning fast goals.
First, the midfielder resolutely hammered in the 2-1 goal when Mjøndalen failed to clear the ball out of his own penalty area, and seconds after the subsequent kick-off, the same man fixed 3-1 with a hard and good shot from distance.
At the last goal, the ball hit a Mjøndalen defender on the way to the goal. That made the task difficult for the guests’ goalkeeper Sosha Makani.

Keeper loss
The same Makani was at the center of events when Vålerenga took the lead in the first half. Bård Finne got a good hit on a volley from just outside the 16-meter, but the ball did not seem to create the big challenges for Mjøndalen’s last defense. Still, it went into the net via the hands of the last defense.
The goal came after a game where Mjøndalen had created most of the chances and been close to scoring. However, the count was to come in the second round for Vegard Hansen’s crew.
Drøye quarter was played after the break when a finish ended with the ball changing direction in Vålerenga’s Jonatan Tollås Nation and outmaneuvered goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson. Thus, there was a sudden balance in the accounts.
Vålerenga, however, struck back. First Bjørdal scored twice, and then Bård Finne was also a two-goal scorer.
