MANCHESTER – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future together Manchester United is on the line. The fate of the 47-year-old coach is a topic of conversation after Man United lost 1-6 to Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth week of the 2020-2021 Premier League on Sunday, October 4, 2020, WIB.
However, is it true that Man United’s management will fire Solskjaer? Don’t Man United’s management want to be patient like what Liverpool management did to Jurgen Klopp?
(Solskjaer’s fate is on the line)
Jurgen Klopp was appointed as Liverpool coach in October 2015. When appointed, Klopp had a good track record with his previous club, namely delivering Borussia Dortmund twice to win the German League, plus bringing The Borussia – nicknamed Dortmund – advanced to the 2012-2013 Champions League final.
However, the experience of winning a trophy with Dortmund cannot be practiced immediately by Klopp with Liverpool. Noted, Klopp missed giving the trophy to the Anfield public for three seasons!
Even though there was no title, Liverpool management did not fire Klopp. Instead of sacking Klopp, Liverpool management supported Klopp in the German coach’s fourth season at Anfield Stadium.

Liverpool’s management provided that support by landing a number of quality players in the 2018 summer transfer market. Call it Alisson Becker, Naby Keita Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri.
The results are fantastic. No half-hearted, Klopp immediately gave his first trophy for Liverpool by delivering the Reds to the 2018-2019 Champions League! After that, trophy after trophy stopped at Anfield Stadium.

In the last two seasons, Klopp has won the Champions League, European Super Cup, Club World Cup and Champions League. Therefore, Man United management can take the example above.
There is nothing wrong with them giving Solskjaer the opportunity to work. Moreover, Solskjaer has not yet been coach of Man United for two years.
Therefore, there is still time for Solskjaer to improve Man United’s performance. Moreover, Solskjaer has Man United DNA because he had 11 years (1996-2007) as a Red Devils player.
