The high humidity that has settled over San Diego County in recent days will last into this weekend, including along the San Diego coast, where relative humidity will hit 88 percent Wednesday and hover in the mid-80s. and more through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The daily high temperature in San Diego will also be in the 81 to 83 degree Fahrenheit range over the weekend. The seasonal high is 77. Interior valleys and foothills will be in the mid-90s.

“Wetness is pretty common for this time of year,” said Casey Oswant, a weather service forecaster.

Some people will find the conditions difficult to handle if they attend Wednesday’s Padres game against San Francisco. The game will kick off at Petco Park at 1:10 p.m.

The heat and humidity are related to the monsoon, which has been much stronger this summer than in recent years, and to periodic spikes in ocean temperatures.
