The Chinese automobile brand Haval announced the opening of an engine production plant in the Tula region, the website reports on March 4 Chinese-cars.rf with reference to the head of external relations of the Haveil Motor Manufacturing Rus enterprise, Ivan Dushkin.
The production will be located on the same site as the existing Haweil Motor Rus assembly plant in the Uzlovaya industrial park, but the exact start date of its work has not been announced.
It is expected that the plant will produce 100 thousand engines annually. The company plans to provide engines for 90% of the brand’s models that are included in the Russian Haval line. Engines will be produced with a displacement of 1.5 and 2 liters, but priority will be given to power units of smaller displacement, since it is used by the best-selling product of the Haval Jolion brand.
