The future of healthcare will develop through Fontenay-aux-Roses (Hauts-de-Seine), in the premises of the regional public establishment Vallée Sud – Grand Paris on the Panorama ZAC.
The community will create a 1,500m “Bio Parc”2 bringing together companies specializing in medical research and biotechnologies. The renovation work begins on Monday January 11, 2021, for an opening this summer. Companies have already expressed their interest.
Health technologies
The Bio Parc will be able to accommodate 10 to 15 companies, for around a hundred employees, for example designing connected watches or bracelets, applications or platforms for connecting hospitals with their patients, artificial intelligences diagnostic, robots, medical imaging solutions, prostheses by impression 3D or equipment for people with disabilities.
“Dynamic ecosystem”
On the Panorama ZAC, companies will be surrounded by companies in the same field such as Audioptic or Air Liquide Médical, and especially research organizations such as THE (Center for Atomic Energy, which today studies health technologies), theInserm or theIRSN (Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety).
It will have a role of “transfer of know-how”, according to Laurent Vastel, mayor of Fontenay and vice-president of Vallée Sud – Grand Paris, interviewed by the channel of Yvelines TV78. For the elected official, it is necessary that “companies that want to develop innovative biotechnologies for commercial purposes can benefit from CEA coaching and have access to these facilities. “
A 3.5 million euros project
The President of the IRSN Board of Directors, Marie-France Bellin, agrees: “The young innovative companies that will be hosted will benefit from a privileged relationship with the experts and researchers of the INSR”, welcoming moreover “access to knowledge and to the tools conducive to to their inclusion in the French and European health and radiation protection networks ”in the video presentation of the project.
The latter, the cost of which is estimated at nearly 3.5 million euros, is 42% financed by the European Regional Development Funds, ie 1,434,815 €.
