Since confinement, lawyers from the Hauts-de-Seine bar have been stepping up initiatives to support self-employed workers and small employers in difficulty. This week, a hundred of them are participating in the operation ” Lawyers take La Défense ”, Which takes place from Monday until Wednesday evening at the Cœur Défense conference center.
“During the confinement, eighty colleagues were mobilized in a few days, in partnership with the CCI (chamber of commerce and industry), the CMA (chamber of trades and crafts) and accountants to assist business leaders in difficulty, recalls Ludivine Jouhanny, lawyer and member of the coordinating committee of this week’s event. For three weeks, we received a lot of requests. Hence the idea of coming to the front of companies, but also individuals, with free workshops led by professionals.
“We also offer free half-hour consultations, from 9 am to 5 pm, with specialized lawyers, in all areas of law (business law, human rights, tax, criminal law, etc.). They are open to everyone, including individuals, ”adds the lawyer. Fifteen boxes allow lawyers to receive visitors in complete confidentiality.

Ludivine Jouhanny believes that many small business leaders hesitate to hire a lawyer for fear of the cost of fees. However, during these three days, everything is free. She also regrets that certain devices remain unrecognized.
Thus, business leaders in difficulty can benefit, every Thursday, from confidential and free interviews at the Information center on the prevention of business difficulties, located in Nanterre. “During the consultation offered, which lasts at least half an hour, the entrepreneur is received by a chartered accountant, a former judge at the commercial court and a lawyer. But we still have few requests ”, regrets Ludivine Jouhanny.
