Housebreaking. Every year, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken honor the social commitment of sports clubs with the “Stars of Sports” award. On November 1st, this year’s Hamburg award winners were honored in the Haus des Sports. The Hausbruch-Neugrabener Turnerschaft (HNT) narrowly missed the podium. Behind the three award winners, the HNT was also recognized for its “exemplary social commitment” in 2023.
“We applied for the ‘Boxing Movement Space’ and are very pleased that our commitment has been appropriately recognized and awarded,” explains HNT managing director Klaus Jakobs. “The fact that it wasn’t enough for the top three isn’t a bad thing at all. On the contrary, that is incentive enough to apply again next year with a great project.”

This year, the big “Star of Sports” in silver went to the company sports group of the Hamburg fire department. The jury chose SC Condor with its “Kids on the Move” project for second place. SV Nettelnburg/Allermöhe took third place with the “Walking Football” project. The winners impressed the jury with outstanding initiatives that, in addition to sporting performance, put social commitment at the center of their club work.
