Secretary General PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto when questioning performance Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan while leading the capital city was greeted with laughter by the audience who heard it.
This was conveyed by Hasto when giving a speech at the inauguration ceremony for the Red and White Cadets Management at the DPD PDIP Jakarta Office, Tebet, Friday (22/7).
At first, Hasto talked about leadership. According to him, a leader must have a good track record and performance results without using identity politics.

“So, if someone talks about A, B just ask about his achievements.
One participant then answered that one of Anies’ achievements was building infiltration wells.
“Oh the first achievement infiltration well. That’s right fair like that. So, this is what we hoped for,” Hasto said with a chuckle.
Hasto then highlighted the changes in Jakarta when it was led by Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok. As is known, the two party cadres bearing the bull symbol were the predecessor of DKI governor Anies.
According to Hasto, under the leadership of Jokowi-Ahok, Jakarta has shown improvement. In addition, in their leadership, the community can also easily convey their aspirations to their leaders.
However, Hasto believes that this changed when the reins of leadership shifted to Anies.
“But then when there is a change in leadership, many positive changes are not made,” said Hasto.
“So then the steps were stopped, even in some aspects experienced a setback,” added Hasto.
After the speech, Hasto explained that he meant to question Anies’ achievements so that the public could assess the quality of a potential leader. Moreover, Anies’ name is often included in the presidential candidate market in the 2024 election.
“So that’s not a criticism, that’s indeed every leader, especially those who will proceed to 2024, yes the people must be able to assess their achievements. Everything and that is also built as a tradition of the PDI struggle,” he concluded.
PDIP is a party that has often been at odds with Anies. Criticism is often directed by the party bearing the bull symbol to Anies.
Anies himself has often been proud of his achievements as governor of DKI Jakarta since 2017.
For example, regarding the successful implementation of the Formula E electric car race in Ancol some time ago, the existence of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which will be launched today, the development of integrated mass transportation, the JAKI application, and the opening of public spaces such as the Tebet Eco Park.
