Secretary General of the PDI-Perjuangan DPP (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said the Party’s Honorary Division would soon issue a letter of reprimand against politicians Masinton Pasaribu.
The sanction was given related to Masinton’s statement about the PDIP coalition with PKS and Democrats (PD) which was considered a personal view.
“I have coordinated with the honorary body and previously Mr. Masinton had received a verbal warning and now he will be given another warning in accordance with the party’s AD/ART,” said Hasto, Saturday (25/6).
Hasto emphasized that every member of the PDI-Perjuangan must speak according to his scope.
“Each party member must speak according to the scope,” he added.
Hasto reiterated, after seeing all the policies, that PDIP is difficult to build cooperation with PKS and the Democratic Party.
“So it is a rational thing, a normal thing in a democracy. There is a party that can really bond, build cooperation. Something is different,” said Hasto.
To understand the political stance of PDIP regarding the coalition with PKS and PD in the presidential election, Hasto said that his party respects the position of the two parties which are outside the government.
Previously, Masinton corrected Hasto’s statement about the impossibility of a coalition with the Democrats.
“What was conveyed by the secretary general was just the below phenomenon. In political cooperation, everything is possible anywhere,” he said, Friday (24/6).
CNNIndonesia.com have tried contacting Masinton regarding the matter. So far, the DPR member has not responded.
