London, Jan 2 (EFE) .- The Dutch Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, former player of Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea, among other teams, has returned as coach to Burton Albion, the English third division club announced.
“Burton Albion Football Club is pleased to confirm the return of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as manager. Welcome back Jimmy,” the club wrote in a tweet.
Five years after his departure, Hasselbaink returns with the Brewers, the team he already coached for a year, until June 2015, and which currently ranks last in League One with just two wins in 21 games.
Hasselbaink left the Burton bench to coach Queens Park Rangers and Northampton a year later. I was free since April 2018.
“Burton is a very beloved club, truly special to me and my whole family,” said the 48-year-old former striker, who will be assisted by Dino Maamria, who recently coached Oldham Athletic. EFE
