In a view of Al-Hadath channel yesterday, Representative Fouad Makhzoumi launched a violent attack on the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, and on banking companies, specifically the CTEX company of the punished American economist, Hassan Muqalled.
Any political figure has the right to criticize the governor of the Central Bank, but when Salameh was at the height of his power and influence, Makhzoumi was one of the most sycophants to him, and he always sought to whiten his image in the media, just as Makhzoumi was proud to congratulate Salameh on his performance in the governorship of the Central Bank. Anyone who reviews Makhzoumi’s official accounts on social media will see this very well.
It is not new for the Beirut deputy to turn against his positions and statements. He did it previously with martyr Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, then with his son Saad and with Hezbollah, and today with Riad Salameh. However, Makhzoumi’s stances that he launched yesterday called for a fiery response from Hassan Muqalled, who attacked Makhzoumi forcefully without naming him.
Muqalled said in a tweet on his Twitter account, “In a deputy, he killed himself to serve as a prime minister and wrote reports for all the intelligence services on earth from east to west and made his wealth from arms trade and more, and he has lawsuits all over the land for fraud and fraud, and..and..he appeared yesterday attacking Ctex with numbers.” Fictional and accusations of transgressing his masters, and if my reprehensible comes to you from Makhzoum, then it is the martyrdom for me.”
