The couple, Hassan Al-Raddad and Amy Samir Ghanem, have had their first child, after months of secrecy enforced over Amy’s pregnancy, and everyone has avoided confirming the news.
Sources close to the couple revealed that they had a boy on Monday 2 January, which corresponds to the day Hassan Al-Raddad was born, but have not yet disclosed his name, as the delivery took place in a private hospital in the city of Sheikh Zayed.
All the details and sensations of this moment are likely to be announced through the duo’s official platforms within hours after they insisted on not talking about the details of the pregnancy or announcing it.
The public was in great confusion about the new baby and whether he would be given the name ‘Samir’, to honor his late grandfather, Samir Ghanem, who died after a battle with the disease.
But Hassan al-Raddad mentioned in an old TV interview that he would name his first son “Fadi” in memory of the passing of his brother “Fadi” who died years ago, and if he had a baby girl, he would name her “Fadi after his late mother.
Hassan Al-Raddad and Amy Samir Ghanem are keen to keep the details of their personal lives away from the public and media which is respected by their family. Weeks ago, Donia Samir Ghanem refused to announce her sister’s pregnancy and asked to speak on another matter at that time.
