Academic agenda, commercial exhibition and business conference will be the activities that will give life to the First Regional Meeting for Hass Avocado Products in the Department of Caldas, an event that will take place next Friday, October 8 at the SENA facilities in Manizales .
“SENA will always be an ally of the strategies that seek the strengthening and productivity of the Colombian countryside, which is why we are pleased to be able to be articulators of this meeting that will bring together in one place producers of this variety of avocado, exporters, institutions of support to the agricultural sector and academic experts ”, expressed José Bernando González Betancourt, deputy director of the Center for Coffee Training at SENA Caldas.
For his part, Jorge Enrique Restrepo, Executive Director of Corpohass, said that during the meeting, attendees will be able to have first-hand access to 10 exporting companies, in addition to meeting different companies that provide goods and services in the production chain.
“During the event we will also have eight conferences with experts, all aimed at promoting the productivity of this sector in Caldas from topics such as integrated crop management, fertilization, export plans, among others,” added Restrepo.
300 will be the attendees who will give life to this meeting in which producers from 11 municipalities of Caldas, exporters and representatives of public and private institutions with an agricultural vocation will participate.
The conference, which is free, is promoted by the Corporation of Producers and Exporters of Hass Avocado of Colombia (Corpohass), SENA through its Center for Coffee Training, the Secretariat of Agriculture of Caldas, the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA ) and the Colombian Agricultural Research Corporation (Agrossavia).
