It is strange that when entering Austria you either have to register on the Internet or with a handwritten note at the border, but not the other way around, criticizes Governor Haslauer: “This leads to enormous traffic jams, because many people do not know that they can register digitally and then have to fill out forms in the car right at the border. We no longer see the factual necessity for this measure on land routes, because everyone has to register in the restaurant or hotel anyway. ”That is why they have clearly spoken out in favor of abolishing the registration requirement, says Haslauer.
Haslauer hopes that the mask requirement will end in summer
This should only apply to car, bus and train travel, but not to flights. This can only be decided by the federal government. Also about the demand to relax the curfew, which would be important, for example, for the festival, which often ends late in the evening. And the mask requirement must be relaxed, says Haslauer: “The time will certainly come when the mask requirement can be withdrawn.” He is still rather skeptical about a withdrawal in June, but he hopes for such a measure in the summer, says Haslauer. An exact date may be announced by the end of next week.
