REPORT: At the weekend, popular harvest festivals were held in Úholičky, i.e. in the Praha-západ district in the Central Bohemian Region. The Harvest Day of Microregions, as the event was officially called, welcomed crowds of visitors, but also farmers, landowners, the rural community, and above all exhibitors.
PrahaIN.cz was on site for several hours.
In the afternoon, Eva Ježková spoke for the organizing associations, followed by farmer Jan Miller and Petr Svoboda. He spoke for the local castle. A drum show followed, and then nothing stood in the way of the start of the eventful day itself.
The Strahovanka brass band played, a charity auction of paintings was held, and later musical melodies were played by Míša Nosková and other performers.
The visitors were truly blessed. The fact that admission was free certainly helped. But even gourmets got their way. The menu included peasant refreshments, such as a slaughterhouse. And also the sale of local commodities. The prices were favorable.
Fresh cheeses of various flavors cost around fifty crowns, as did a quarter kilo of cottage cheese.

From Falcons to Porsches
As an exhibitor – farmer, we can mention the already mentioned Jan Miller, as well as the family farm of Josef Rouse, the farm of Oldřich Poláček or the farm of the Kubelk brothers.
Face painting, pony rides or a demonstration of falconry were prepared for the little guests. Dozens of boys, however, had other concerns. The boys wanted to sit in the tractors, of which there were perhaps twenty, and try out a possible dream profession.
The biggest passion was the Porsche brand tractor. Polished like from a salon. It was no different for the John Deere brand. If someone doesn’t know her, just mention her typical green-yellow colors.
However, the tractor from the workshop of Ferdinand Porsche, a native of Vratislavice nad Nisou, became the central topic of many debates. People thought mainly about the owner and the price.
The day went well. The weather was kind, the beer and food were excellent, and all generations were visibly enjoying themselves.
